this is one of the nights i was asked to play a guys ipod collection

on ocasion iv been asked to do this and its getting more popular

people email the agent a list of there songs then i go through the list and build a set out of only there favorate tracks ensureing every song is one they love but put played for the dancefloor i have to charge more for this service as it takes a lot of time set building

dance anthems- 

this was quite a thrilling gig

august bank holiday dance anthems 2006 @ emporium it was only a £5r to get in and the drinks were cheap

the people came to party and thats what we did a

few memorable insodents at one point the club owner (and friend)(whilst the dancefloor was full came up and asked could i play some pop music .... im like well it would be suicide and risk killing the night by drasticaly changing the music especialy as the night was advertised as dance anthems just so a couple of people he new that wanted pop music could dance

what makes me look back and smile is the track that was playing when he asked was the vengaboys up and down i think they are almost as pop as barbie girl lol

the people loved it the staff loved it and people were wanting more so we did some saturdays after this unfortunatly some bright spark thought it was a good idea to launch on the same night that  the almighty passion was on something i was dead against as i belived that the people that would enjoy what i was provideing would come on the weeks passion wasnt on the people that wanted to go out but didnt want to go to the more extream hard house or hardcore nights, this gave the night a slower start than was needed for a long run but we did have a right laugh and i was dishing out champaign for everyone from behind the decks, cases of the stuff! this was only supposed to be just an insentive 1 glass each but i got a taste for poping corks lol :D

i have a friend who used to run a yearly entertainment event promoting my home towns market

it was good cus the event draws people in to watch all the various acts and meet the look a likes and be thrilled by the fire eaters giant robots belly dancers etc

the guy who runs it who was a weekend dj and sold music mainly irish cds

when i was at the seaside on holiday i heard some music i thought whats that? sounds funny so me and my girlfriend at the time went to find out there was an unuseual stall selling old fassioned items and goods and items it was like something out of a movie i couldnt tell what exactly was on the table but it wouldnt of supprised me if it was things like monkeys paws an old zoltar machine from the movie big and an old globe of the world that kind of creepy junk

but the music was this the guy sold me the cd for £3 and i had great fun mixing it for the guy as it is all dance mixes of irish classics

this is one of the most popular things iv done as it is one of the biggest moments in brittish dance history

around 2000 after the enourmous sucess of a tv show called ibiza uncoverd showing young people partying in ibiza and drawing even more people out there

this film (off the back of a popular comidy show) came out and half of the soundtrack was amazing there was some right rubbish on there but some solid gold too what set it up though was the amazing use of the music in the film it really portrayed a spine tingleing euphoric atmospher possibly some of the best sound use iv ever seen in a film right up there with psycos shower sceen

so what this mix is  this mix is the best of the music from the film layed down in a set even if you havent seen the film it is still great fun to listen too

by the end of what has been an amazing decade in electronic dance music i played at trancephoria a night dedicated to was then the new sound in trance some truely astonishing tracks but i am looking forward to what else comes along the way over the next few years as i find some music from some of the big guns is a bit too limp and some of the best tracks have been made by people you have never heard of

this music was reccorded at an under 18s night but this was no ordinary under 18s club this was a trance club and many of the kids all wanted to be ravers like there older brothers and sisters so i thought if thats what you want then i wont patronise you with pop music ill give you saturday night trance

i had worked at the same place years before and played chart dance the mix recording for that may be lost for all time

i launched this alongside a world class dj and it was going extreamly well the place was rammed but they decided to not pay me to promote and just to dj but still promote i thought forget that it aint finatialy worth it they got another dj in and the night folded a few weeks later wich was sad but at least it was amazing whilst it lasted

bedroom djing isnt something i do much as i prefur to do the same thing but in clubs before they open or in the week when no ones in but this mix is something i did do in my room i had a friend the guy that made me be a dj he passed away aged 18 soon after my 19th birthday and he loved the music so one day i think it may of been around the time of one of his birthdays i played some songs recoded what i was playing took a speaker system and a thing to run it off the cars battery and cranked out the cd in the cemetery next to his grave

years ago happy hardcore burnt the party side of rave deep in my heart and there is and always will be something special about the low budget but still trying to be amazing vibe that comes from this stuff possibly what is missing from the super pop hardcore stuff of today

one night one of my recodings came into full glory in the carpark of an old cinema the club closed 1am on a sunday and we was all drunk so i wired the cd walkman into the tape deck of the car put the hazard flashers on turned it up and we did the funky monkey (that doesnt actualy mean anything but one of the guys was doing a monkey dance going funkey monky to the beat lol :D)

one night the police got us and made us move along they were a bit puzzled as to what we was doing but we was only dancing :D

this was a backlash to the nrg music that was like rave for non ravers it really irritated me but was at a turning point in hardcore as it turned super comercial and is almost like fast pop music with no soul now it cant all be like that and hopefully ill build a set out of the latest stuff and do another night of madness soon

one night i was going through a stack of recently aquired cds trying to find indi rock for a indie rock night i was doing when my ears lit up,,,,,,,,, i was absolutly breath taken like wow everyone needs to hear this .... i cant remember if i got some people in before the club opend or if this is the 1st hour but i played this and we danced ,,,oh how we danced :D
